To keep patients and staff safe we ask you NOT to enter the building unless you have spoken to one of our team first.
MASKS are essential when visiting the practice for everyone 12 years and older. Please use hand santiser inside the building and scan our QR code.
We are continuing to operate a ‘Green’ and ’Red’ stream of patients in the building. Green for general face to face consultations with a doctor or a nurse. Red is for patients that have a fever, sore throat, cough, cold, flu symptoms, shortness of breath, temporary loss of smell, sneezing or a runny nose etc. Also, if someone in your household has tested positive or you have spent time with a person who has tested positive its important to let reception know so you can go into the red stream.
If you fall into the ‘Red Stream’ category you will have your symptoms triaged by a doctor or nurse and the most appropriate treatment will be provided for you. Remember that if you have covid symptoms it is important to have a test.
Under the Red Traffic Light setting we will be encouraging telephone or video consults with your doctor as we want to limit the number of patients in the medical centre at any one time. However, should you need to have a face to face consult with your doctor, or catch up with the nurse for your B12, blood pressure check, diabetic review, liquid nitrogen, smear, drivers licence renewal etc. please phone reception to make an appointment.
For any face to face appointments please do not enter the building. Stay in your vehicle when you arrive, call reception from the carpark and they will give you directions as to what you should do next.
At the Red setting we will be carrying out childhood immunisations as normal, so if your child is due for their immunisations, please phone reception to book an appointment. We ask that only one adult accompanies the child to the practice and no siblings if this is possible.
If you are unwell with cold, cough, and flu like symptoms or live with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 please phone reception and book a telephone triage call with our red stream doctor. An appointment time will then be made for you to come and have a test. Should you have more severe respiratory symptoms the triage doctor will arrange a time for you to be seen face to face later in the day.
Please use the online booking system: Book My Vaccine
Use this link to make your covid vaccination appointments as there are many venues around the city where you can receive these. We are not giving them in the practice.
