Skin Check Clinic at Dunedin North Medical Centre
February 18, 2020
Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in New Zealand. The good news is that early detection and removal of lesions is usually curative. All of the doctors at Dunedin North Medical Centre are happy to do a skin check, but a full examination requires a longer appointment, especially if photographs are taken.
We are having a trial of a dedicated weekly clinic on Friday mornings, run by Dr Mark Bevin.
Mark has a special interest in skin cancers and has undertaken additional training in skin cancer detection using dermoscopy. In particular if you have fair skin, and enjoyed the sun in childhood to the point of peeling sunburn, then an annual check is highly advisable.
