Update – Manage My Health Cyber Incident
Over the last week, Manage My Health reported and dealt with a cyber security incident. The unauthorised access was to the ‘Health Documents’ part of the platform only. Many thousands of New Zealanders including here in the South have been affected.
Manage My Health has been contacting practices with patients that are affected, however they are not yet sharing those names as they will contact individuals affected directly. If you are affected, Manage My Health will contact you.
We know this may seem alarming, and we are doing all we can with our PHO, WellSouth, and other organisations to speed up the process of patient notification. If you find that you are affected, please know that we are here to support you. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to talk this through.
Meanwhile, Manage My Health has advised that the issue has been fully contained, that the system is safe to use, and this is now a criminal investigation.
