The following Terms of Trade apply to services provided by Dunedin North Medical Centre to its patients.
Our standard consultation fees are available upon request. Our fees take into account the following factors:
• The time spent
• The complexity of the treatment
• The costs of running a medical practice
• The funding available from the government, public agencies, and other sources.
By signing the Dunedin North Medical Centre enrolment form, you agree to the Terms and Conditions of Trade as stated:
Unless otherwise agreed, all services shall be paid for on the date of service.
No staff member of Dunedin North Medical Centre may agree to any terms other than as written in that contract.
Prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
Prices quoted for services may be adjusted from time to time, and you hereby agree to pay any such adjusted price, e.g. in instances where the cost of goods increases, government surcharges increase, errors or omissions by Dunedin North Medical Centre or its representatives.
Payment shall be accepted in the form of cash, direct debit or internet banking.
Where it is agreed that payment need not be paid on the day of service, it shall be paid by 20th of the month, following date of invoice unless you have an automatic payment agreement with us.
Dunedin North Medical Centre may withhold further provision of service where there is any outstanding amount due, except in emergency situations.
Where patients are in breach of agreed payment terms, we may disclose this information to debt collection agencies and legal proceedings may follow. This may result in your name and address being entered into the Computer Bureau default listing which will have an impact on your credit rating.
Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at our bank’s overdraft lending rate calculated on a daily basis from the date of your consultation until payment.
Costs incurred to recover outstanding monies will be charged to you.

“We”, “Us”, “Our” and “DNMC” mean Dunedin North Medical Centre.
