Dunedin North Medical Centre is a well established, Cornerstone accredited medical practice. We provide a wide range of primary health care services to our enrolled and registered patients and whenever possible to casual patients as well. Located in St David Street, near the University campus, we are in a central location on major bus routes along George Street making us well situated and easy to access.
Dunedin North Medical Centre provides a smoke free environment for patients and staff as required by the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 and Amendments Act 2003. Smoking is prohibited in the medical centre building and grounds, including the car park.
We have car parks that are available for use while visiting Dunedin North Medical Centre.
One of these parks is a mobility park and it is situated at the end of the building on the right. It is marked as a mobility park.
There are also one hour parks outside on the street should all our car parks be occupied. Please respect the “reserved” parks in our car park as these do not all belong to us and may be reserved for other tenants in our building.
For patients with mobility difficulties we have an access toilet located on the car park side of the building.
Ramp access to the building is from the car park. Same level ramp access is also available to the Antidote North Pharmacy. Please let the receptionist know if you wish to use this.
At various times of the year we have both medical students from the University of Otago and nursing students from the Otago Polytechnic. If your doctor or nurse has a student working with them, you will be asked for your consent for the student to be present at your consultation. It is your decision and you always have the right to refuse. Either way this will not affect your relationship with us.
We welcome all forms of feedback as this helps improve our services to our patients. Feedback can be made in an informal manner by discussing your concern or compliment with a staff member who can pass your feedback on as appropriate, or by writing to us.
