Many Changes for Our Team

February 12, 2026

Theresa and Russell Hurring will be retiring at the end of February.

Theresa has cared for our patients for 23 years and has loved watching children she vaccinated as babies grow up and return with their own children for immunisations and other care.

Russell has been the friendly, helpful voice on the phone and a familiar face behind the reception desk for over 10 years. Their hard work, dedication and genuine care for both our patients and our team will be deeply missed. We wish them all the very best as they begin this next chapter of their lives.

Wendy Thornton has been welcomed back to the reception team after 8 years in the northern isle. Her cheery smile is sure to be remembered by many.

Hannah Jones will take the role of Nurse Lead when Theresa retires and Alysha Mulqueen, a graduate registered nurse has joined our team.

Kimberley Smith has joined our Wellbeing Team as Health Coach. This is a new role and is a free service.

Dr Waldir de Souza became an Associate Doctor with the practice at the beginning of February. He was a very popular registrar doctor with us in 2025 and it is great to have him permanently on the team.

We welcome our new registrar doctor Kate Ko in February also.

Dr Anar Khan is now the one to see for skin cancer medicine following Dr Bevin’s retirement. Her skin check clinics are on Wednesday afternoons and Thursdays.

Dr Charlotte Ackermann will be on parental leave from mid-March. We wish her and her husband all the best for the exciting times ahead.
